Advanced Shopping Cart with an Automated Billing System Based on the Internet of Things

Abstract

The IoT-Based Smart Shopping Cart aims to optimize the billing procedure in supermarkets and shorten long lines at the checkout. A NodeMCU microcontroller and an RFID reader work together in this system to read RFID cards or tags and identify products. When you add something to your cart, the details of the item show up on an LCD screen and have been revised as well on an online page that can be reached through the cart's IP address. If you need to, you can use a push button to take things out of the cart. The entire invoice is automatically calculated and can be seen on both the LCD alongside the web interface. This makes shopping quick, easy, and accurate.
