This study examines the impact of demographic factors on investors’ investment decisions with special reference to Axis Bank. The main objective of the study is to analyze how demographic variables such as age, gender, income, education, occupation, and marital status influence the investment preferences, risk tolerance, and decision-making behavior of investors. In today’s dynamic financial environment, understanding investor behavior has become essential for financial institutions and banks to design suitable investment products and services. The study is based on both primary and secondary data. Primary data was collected through structured questionnaires distributed among investors, while secondary data was gathered from journals, reports, books, websites, and financial publications. Statistical tools such as percentage analysis, charts, and tables were used for interpretation and analysis of data. The research identifies the relationship between demographic characteristics and investment patterns among customers and investors associated with Axis Bank. The findings of the study reveal that demographic factors significantly influence investment decisions. Younger investors tend to prefer high-risk and high-return investment avenues, whereas middle-aged and senior investors prefer safer investment options. Income and educational qualification also play an important role in determining investment awareness and financial planning. The study concludes that investment behavior varies across different demographic groups and suggests that Axis Bank can improve customer satisfaction and investment participation by offering customized financial products according to investor profiles. The research provides useful insights for banks, financial advisors, and policymakers in understanding investor psychology and enhancing investment strategies.
