The growing demand for reliable and sustainable energy has accelerated the development of renewable-based power systems that can operate independently from conventional grids. Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems are critical for ensuring continuous electricity in applications ranging from healthcare and data centers to residential and industrial sectors. This study presents the design and development of a hybrid solar–wind energy-based UPS system capable of delivering uninterrupted and ecofriendly power. The proposed system integrates photovoltaic (PV) panels and wind turbines as primary renewable sources, supported by a battery storage unit to ensure backup during low generation periods. A power management controller is employed to regulate energy flow, balance supply and demand, and ensure optimal utilization of renewable resources. Simulation and prototype testing demonstrate that the hybrid UPS system provides high reliability, reduced dependence on conventional grid power, and significant carbon footprint reduction compared to traditional UPS systems. The findings highlight the potential of renewable-based UPS solutions to serve as sustainable and resilient alternatives for critical load applications.
