Abstract

Waterborne diseases remain one of the major public health challenges affecting millions of people worldwide, especially in rural and underdeveloped regions where access to clean water and sanitation facilities is limited. Diseases such as cholera, typhoid, diarrhea, dysentery, and hepatitis spread rapidly through contaminated water sources and poor hygiene practices. Lack of awareness regarding safe drinking water, sanitation, and early symptoms of diseases often leads to delayed treatment and increased mortality rates. This project proposes a Community Awareness System for Early Detection of Waterborne Diseases that utilizes modern technologies, healthcare monitoring, and awareness campaigns to educate communities and identify disease outbreaks at an early stage. The system integrates data collection, symptom monitoring, and awareness notifications to help communities recognize health risks and seek timely medical support. By promoting preventive measures, improving public awareness, and enabling early disease detection, the proposed system contributes to better public health management and reduced spread of waterborne diseases.
