Abstract

Financial management is the strategic planning, organizing, directing, and controlling of financial activities such as procurement, utilization of funds, and investment decisions to achieve an organization’s objectives. This study focuses on the core functions of financial management, including capital budgeting, financial analysis, working capital management, and capital structure decisions. It emphasizes the importance of sound financial practices in ensuring business sustainability, profitability, and growth. The research explores how financial managers use tools such as ratio analysis, cash flow statements, and cost control techniques to make informed decisions. It also highlights the role of financial management in risk mitigation, investor relations, and value creation. The study includes both theoretical concepts and practical applications in business scenarios. The findings reveal that effective financial management enhances operational efficiency, supports strategic planning, and improves shareholder wealth. In conclusion, financial management is a vital function that integrates all aspects of business operations, enabling organizations to meet short-term obligations and achieve long-term financial goals.
