The real-time hazardous gas detection and warning system using embedded technology is designed to monitor and detect toxic and flammable gases in industrial and residential environments. Hazardous gases such as carbon monoxide, methane, and ammonia pose serious risks to human health and safety, making early detection crucial. The proposed system uses gas sensors integrated with embedded systems like microcontrollers to continuously monitor gas concentration levels in the environment. When gas levels exceed predefined safety thresholds, the system generates immediate alerts through alarms and notifications. The integration of embedded technology ensures fast processing, low power consumption, and real-time response. Modern gas detection systems utilize sensors such as metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) and electrochemical sensors to detect various gases with improved accuracy . Additionally, the system can be enhanced using IoT for remote monitoring and data logging. This project aims to provide a cost-effective, reliable, and efficient solution for preventing accidents caused by gas leaks. The system is particularly useful in industries, mines, and smart homes, ensuring safety and reducing risks associated with hazardous gas exposure.
